| Dissertation note | Using P.P.D. mallein 200 horses from the Lahore S.P.C.A. Hospital were subjected to intradermal palpebra]. mallein test. One horse gave a positive result giving an over all percentage of 0.5 percent in the animals tested. The morphological, biochemical and pathogenic characteristics of the Pseudomonas mallei isolated erom this solitary positive case were studied and reported. Keeping in view the highly contagious nature of the disease and its communicability to man, measures for its diagnosis and eradication have been recommended. |
